Parking
Parking for the NCAA Championships at Rhodes College will
be located on the east side of the Dunavant Tennis Courts,
behind the Bryan Campus Life Center (BCLC) and adjacent to
Solomon Field. *NOTE* On Rhodes' Graduation
Day (Saturday, May 15), parking will not be available on campus,
but will instead be available off Jackson Avenue behind the
soccer fields (north of the tennis courts and the Rhodes campus).
Parking for the NCAA Championships at the Racquet Club of
Memphis will be located in the main parking lot.
Banquets
The NCAA pays for the official traveling party and coach (9).
Any additional tickets for parents and other guests may be
purchased in advance for $25 per person.
The
formal team banquet for coaches, participants, and guests
will be held on Tuesday, May 11 at 7:00pm, at the McCallum
Ballroom in the Bryan Campus Life Center (BCLC) at Rhodes
College.
The
casual individual singles and doubles banquet and the Team
Awards Presentation for coaches, participants, and guests
will be held on Friday, May 14 at 7:00pm, at the McCallum
Ballroom in the Bryan Campus Life Center (BCLC) at Rhodes
College.
Meetings
Mandatory coaches meetings will be held to review the format,
procedures, and any other pertinent information. The NCAA
Division III Women's Tennis Championships committee will finalize
team lineups at Tuesday's meeting. All meetings are mandatory.

Laundry
Service
Rhodes College will be happy to provide laundry service for
team uniforms during the championships. If you would like
to have your uniforms washed, please contact Bobby Lessentine
(office 901-843-3779; lessentiner@rhodes.edu) or the tournament
desk for details.
Stringing
Service
We will have a machine and a stringer at both Rhodes and the
Racquet Club. Coaches may string their own racquets, or may
request to have Rhodes do the stringing. Contact Duncan Howell
(office 901-843-3020; howelld@rhodes.edu) for details.

for courts at Rhodes and/or at The Racquet Club of Memphis.
Two courts will be assigned for team practice for 1.5 hours.
Individuals and Doubles can reserve either one or two courts
for 1.5 hours.
Inclement
Weather
In case of inclement weather, indoor courts are available
at The Racquet Club of Memphis and also at the Six50 Sports
Complex. The decision to play indoors will be determined by
the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Comittee.

Directions
to the Racquet Club of Memphis...
From the hotel: Turn left from the Hawthorne Suites
and go to the first light. Take Poplar west (do not
get on the interstate). Follow Poplar to White Station.
Turn right on White Station, and proceed to Sanderlin.
Take a left on Sanderlin and the Club is on the left.
From
Rhodes: Turn left on University and go to the light.
Turn left on North Parkway. At the next light, go
right on East Parkway. Take an immediate left on Sam
Cooper. Follow Sam Cooper to the Perkins exit. Turn
right on Perkins and continue until you reach Walnut
Grove. Take a left on Walnut Grove and go to White
Station. Take a right on White Station, and proceed
to Sanderlin. Go right on Sanderlin and the Club is
on the left.
Directions to Six-50 Sports Complex...
From the hotel: Turn left from the Hawthone Suites
and go to the first light. Take Poplar west and follow
the entrance ramp onto I-240. Stay in the right lane
and proceed to the I-40 east (Nashville) exit. Exit
I-40 east, and stay in the right hand lane. Exit right
at Sycamore View. Stay in the left exit lane and turn
left on Sycamore View. Turn right on Shelby Oaks Drive.
The Club will be on the right past the Holiday Inn.
From
Rhodes: Turn left on University and go to the light.
Turn left on North Parkway. At the next light, go
right on East Parkway. Take an immediate left on Sam
Cooper. Follow Sam Cooper east. Sam Cooper turns into
I-40. After you go under the I-240 loop, get in the
far right lane and exit to the right at Sycamore View.
When you exit, stay in the left lane and turn left
at the light onto Sycamore View. Turn right on Shelby
Oaks Drive. The club is on the right past the Holiday
Inn.

Rules
The USTA and ITA rules will be followed unless superseded
by modifications adopted by the NCAA Division III Women's
Tennis Committee. Please refer to the 2003 NCAA Division III
Women's Tennis Championships Handbook, which is available
on the NCAA Web site at www.ncaa.org/sports/tennis.
Transportation
The Memphis International Airport (MEM) has all major van
and car rental companies... such as Avis, Budget, Dollar,
Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty.
Enterprise
Car Rental will be giving special rates to the Championship
participants, family, and guests. Please contact Jeremy Langston

Airport
The Memphis International Airport (MEM) is approximately 20
minutes from Rhodes and 30 minutes from the hotel. Competing
institutions should arrange transportation to and from the
championship site. Arrangements to transport teams or individuals
via commercial or charter aircraft must be made through the
NCAA travel service, Worldtek Travel (1-800-243-1800).
Any
exceptions must be granted by the NCAA travel and insurance
manager, and must be approved prior to traveling. Ground transportation
and/or local transportation must be arranged and paid for
by each competing institution.
Media
Results
will be posted on the official tournament web site (www.rhodes.edu/athletics/2004_NCAA_tennis).
At registration, participants are encouraged to give any names
and e-mail addresses for any individuals that would like to
have tournaments results e-mailed to them.
